To much fuel!
Hey guys I'm having a problem with 87 Yamaha. I had it at the camp ground last weekend and it started having problems starting . All I kept smelling was fuel and now its pouring gas out the breather tube on top of the motor, what would cause this? It seemed like it was oil bases fuel and sure enough I checked the oil and it was completely drained . So did I really mess this cart up, or just something simple?

Re: To much fuel!
Sounds like either your carb float is set to high (Unlikely) or the needle is stuck open (more likely) allowing gas to fill from your carb through the piston into the crank case. Had same problem with a G16 a while back. Take off and clean carb well. Change oil. Give her a go. The real PIA was that by trying to start and run the cart you may have pushed and gas into the muffler and it will smoke when it gets hot. I though I'd need a rebuild until I figured out the muffler thing. See STICKEY about a muffler Bar-B-Q
