Just want people to know it works and it's pretty cheap and easy to do.

Maybe if I can ever get around to building my long travel style people will be referring to it as the Stickney lift.

Yeah I know. No offense taken what so ever. I enjoy every bit of spirited joshin, it's one thing I truly enjoy about this site. Lots of help and good ideas along with a bunch of friendly banter.

Thanks for all the input. I am loving the look of that Jeep style hood. Are those still in production? Build will start this weekend, the boy is going camping and I will be doing the tear down.

6 inch lift is a definite, I will look at the spacers and fender flares.

Actually Matt that jeep (Geep) that the newguy posted was his original creation, everything was fabbed up by hand. There are plastic jeep bodies available out there but they are not cheap. Hope that helps.

honorstick,

I did some looking and you are correct, those bodies are not cheap... I am leaning toward just keeping what I have for now. Who knows, maybe one day I will have the time to attempt to make my own hood. I will have a better idea just how involved that will be once I pull the original body off and see what it looks like under all the plastic.
