Ok nevermInd on the product link I did end up finding one on eBay it says its for a 97 mines a 99 but it looks identical. So my next question and forgive me if it is stupid but what is the best method of actually taking the fan off?

Just remove those six small bolts. I believe they take a 10mm wrench/socket. We just swapped one on my buddy's 94 Marathon a few months ago.

There are a few bolts holding the shroud on. I think to get to all of them you will need to remove the airbox and coil.

Ok will give it a shot. The reason I asked is because the motor breakdown manual I have shows a special tool that is required I didn't know if the plate that was the fan apparently only mounts to was intrinsic to the fan or the motor. Looks like just the motor though.

Fan just bolts to the flywheel. No special tools needed
