speed control conversion
I am restoring a 1984 ez go and would like to know the best way to convert the old resistor speed control to a better system. I will also be lifting it a little and changing to larger tires and wheels. Any good ideas?

Re: speed control conversion
The conversion is simple enough. You probably have an old speed wiper that will be replaced by a stock Ezgo PB-6 Potentiometer(the Pot) . And the resistor coils will be replaced with a (400 amp. min) solid state speed controller ( just called the controller). The wiring is simple. You will want to use 4 ga. cables and should seriously consider up grading to 48v before you purchase anything. The old motor will run about 25% stronger/faster on the increased voltage....Good Luck.
