1989 marathon carb spitting fuel out

I have a 1989 marathon 2 stroke 3PG engine cart. I have an issue with the fuel wanting to spit out of the carb via the small air vent located on the carb, and I also noticed it spits it out of the actual intake sometimes as well and just floods the engine.

I installed a brand new fuel pump, same issue.
I installed a brand new carb, same issue.
I took the bowl off new carb, made sure float was adjusted, still same thing.


Now, if I take the fuel line off from the fuel tank, I can get it started and it will run fine until it of course runs out of fuel in the bowl. It only leaks while the engine is turning over or running, does not seem to leak while sitting.

Also, this unit is pre-mix and does not have the oil injection system hooked up at all.

Any advice on what might be the issue here would be greatly appreciated.
