I know this is an old thread but to answer what can blow a speed sensor
there are three wires going to the speed sensor Red + 18 to 20 volts, black - or ground, and Green output from hall effect device. if the voltage from controller is higher than 24 vdc that can blow the sensor and if the green wire at the controller is @ 48 volts that can blow the sensor and possibly a spike from a solenoid with a bad diode. |
