Default UpGrade Presendent depth..

A very pleasant experience …

Using my 2006 Precedent I followed the neighborhood hayride on Halloween, Having 4 overhead headlights and the two bottom headlights it was perfect for the kids to see getting on/off the trailer...

The event took 3.5 hours about 3 miles of stop and go…but the CC worked perfect.

I started with a full charge of about 50.8 volts and ended up with a resting voltage of 48.6 volts. (4 – 12 volt batteries) going home the meter read 46 volts at 13 mph.

I had 600 pounds of people aboard so I was pleased the way the cart performed.

I am going to add the rear seat, about 80 to 150 pounds of aluminum and we are extending next year’s trip to about 5 miles.

So we have a considerable additional load, and by adding the new rear seats I’m sure someone will want the 4th seat, so add another 160 pounds…

So we have 910 pound of load and a 5 mile stop and go trip.

So the cart is 2006 total stock except I changed all wiring over to 2 gauge.

What can I do to increase my voltage fudge factor...?

1.-= Go to 8 ... eight volt batteries…?
2. - Change/Upgrade the motor and controller to..?????
3. - Or…?????

Thanks,

-Bill Winkis

I would start with 8 volt upgrade as you have 4 year old batterys that should have given out by now ( unless they are newer batterys )? On adding seat you should also add weight of rear HD springs as you will be rubbing inner wheel wells with extra leverage out back?
With your IQ motor controller and 8 volt batterys ( about 25% more range and power ) I think you will have more than enough for road trips you talk about and more? Just be sure to have new pack broke in ( 25-50 discharge-charge cycles at least ) before trying long trip like that.
