Steve is correct. The handheld programmer plugs into that port.

that under dash connector in the photo plug goes to the top of the curtis controller as a 4-prong molex plug

if you dont ever intend to "programe" the controller the plug can be removed from the controller and you have a spare harness of 4-wires going from the battery compartment to the dash for accessories

well here is the picture of that plug attached to the harness if your saying that is not necessary if we do not plan on doing any controller work so its it safe to say that the warning light is useless also and what are the rest of the cables for ?????
1. theres a set with green and blue ??? what is it for ????
2. theres a set with black and red ??? what is it for ???
3. black with white stripe and orange is the warning light
4.orange and red connected to a round black piece of plastic ?? what is it for
5.black,red,yellow, and green connected to the port for the controller

Well, thats good, it does nothing unless I have to have it programmed again..I'm just going to move it to a new location then.
