shooting for 25
ok guys I have a 2010 club car ds gas. gov is zip tied not fully open still safe kicks on before the limiter. it has a 7.5 inch super sport lift on it and 25 inch atv tires till I can buy actual tires for it. I adjusted the throttle cable I think the right way it now is moving and running in about a inch and I made it idle. anyway tried to test ride it today super cold 14 degrees and didn't let it fully warm up and gpsed it to 22 mph on a flat. what would you guys do next? k&n and jet maybe or what? I also have synthetic oil and dif oil that's going in tomarrow. still fighting with getting the alignment spot on think that maybe hurting a bit its off a good ways. anyway let me know what you would do next.
also the clutch is being sent off for machine once it warms up enuff to be able to work on it. |

Re: shooting for 25
I think K&N is not worth it but JMO, I had one and didn't see any difference.
I had 06' 23x10.5-12 6" lift Zip tie set rpms to 4200 got 28 mph out of it also had the clutch mod |

I'm curious bmp... What engine do you have in that 2010? FE290? FE350?

The little 290. Pulls the 25s better then I figured it would but haven't got to ride it much. Been very cold since I lifted it.

Re: shooting for 25
Oh yeah... I remember now!
I have a jet/K&N upgrade, it might only get you an extra mph or so, but you'll have MUCH better throttle response! (and might just hit the limiter, so you'll have to loosen the zip tie! ) Once you get your clutches machined, see what it can do... but I think that you might just stay shy of 25 mph as long as you have your limiter intact! |

Re: shooting for 25
changed all the fluids to syn and drained the who knows how old gas and readjusted a few things new stock air filter and spark plug she does 23-24 on the road in front of work. so after clutchs, jet, and k&n I think its safe to say ill be there. also when I order real tires I think ima bump up to 26s these 25s look so small with this 7.5 inch. its still really cold here mid 20s when I was riding it think that may be hurting it a lil (im lieing to myself I know)
