Default Drive Belt Question

I have read through the Tech thread and just wanted to know if anyone has used the Shorter belt on an 83 marathon, and if so does an inch shorter belt really make a good difference on low end torque? I am thinking of getting one.

Me too, I need all the help I can get, although an overhaul of the upper end would do the trick too but who wants to work that hard.

Got the belt. It does seem to pull up hills alot better and faster. The acceleration is better too.

I've tried it. It worked too good. I got a 28 degh and run the stock HD belt. It was so responsive it was jerky. That's a good thing!

I need to replace my stock belt, but I have now found 4 different part numbers for my cart... anybody have the correct number for an 89 EZGO 2 stroke?
