I paid 2100 for mine but actually paid 1400 cash and traded my 89 to the guy. Sounds like a good price. Offer him 21 and see if he will come down. If not o well. The Jakes kits are prety good from what I have seen.

it sounds a little steep to me for a 10 yr old cart;however, worth is determined between the buyer and the seller.just a lift?i have seen them on craigslist cheaper but thats in Arizona? good luck.let us know what you get.

You could search thru craigslist and see what carts are bringing in you area and use that as a guide for perceived value. I mean if the cart is turn key and needs little restorative maintenance then you may find that price to be fair. If however you immediately have to start replacing stuff....it can hit your pocketbook hard n fast. Mine needed very little aside from serious cleanup and a tuneup n valve adjustment. I did put on a new carb but could have gotten by with the old one for a bit.

145 psi is the start of rebuild time per EZGO Factory service manuals. 165 is optimal and most got up to 175 - 180 on good motors.

140 is NOT GOOD, my friend - Unless the valves are out of adjustment...

Yes, you do. Better get the valves reset to .004 and re-check compression. Sorry I didn't get to this thread a little earlier...

at the time when I bought my 97 there was nothing in the area going for less than 2000 that was in decent shape. None of the courses were changing out fleets which is unfortunate since they sell those for next to nothing. Nice thing was that the 89 I traded to the guy was given to me so I didnt feel too bad paying 1400 out of pocket for the 97. I guess it has a lot to do with what carts are bringing in your particular area. Before I spent a ton on cosmetics I would be darn sure the mechanics are right. If they are not I would clean it up and resell it otherwise you could wind up with a really sweet looking lifted new body having yard ornament....lol
