Question Runs great cold / Not so good Hot ?

Hello, thanks first off my first post. I have 96 turff 1 with the two cyl. Engine I have set the valves , clean the carb, adj. the gov. From one end to the other. It runs great cold low speed and wide open great. Then about 30 min. Starts backfiring , acts like no fuel, then it might just take off run great . Till you let off the throttle. I am going crazy ! Once again I really enjoy this form and has been very helpful. Thank Rick
