Re: bone headed with head
if you are having trouble finding one from the typical auto parts supply places, check with HVAC distributor. They should have a selection of "welch plugs".

Re: bone headed with head
Did you forget that little 1/2 " O ring that goes in with the side cover gasket ?
It is where the oil to head is ported from the pump.. |

Re: bone headed with head
That freeze plug is where the rocker rod stops. It has no pressure and could be slid back in and JB welded or epoxied in place. It should hold. The only places for leaks are the seals and the cover gaskets. The o-ring will also do it.
Be sure you didn't overfill the oil. 1 1/2 qt. only!! |

Re: bone headed with head
if your cart is lifted the oil level reading won't be right, full mark is alittle to much oil and can make it smoke and blow some oil at times.
I'd be more incline to think the small o-ring was left out of the side gasket if it's leaking oil. lots of people assume it'll work just fine without it or don't even know about it. |
