Default GasTank Size?

Anyone know off the top of their head how big the gas tank on a 83 EZGO gasser is? It looks to be about 3 gallons, but I want to make sure because I want to remove the oiler and mix my own oil. Thanks in advance!

NO NO NO, steal a pyrex measuring cup from the wife and mix the fuel in a plastic gas can. A little more just in case and some is still in there is not the way to do it unless you want to be changing plugs and cleaning the carbon off the top of the piston. Measure the gas and the oil.

Thanks for the reply. I do plan on mixing in a gas can......but, I wanted to add oil to the unmixed gas that's already in the tank. Do you recommend I drain the tank and start anew? Thanks again.

How much is in there 1/4 1/2

Wait (why remove the oiler is this on here some where else.)

If a good reason (like it doesn't work) then 1/2 tank or so mix 3 gallons 24 to 1 and run it through use a good 2 cycle synthetic.

After thinking about this a little, I grabbed a hose off my bench and siphoned the gas out of the tank and premixed the oil in a gas can. It worked well and the cart is now running good.

Very good choice. It doesn't take much to get the mixture off....
