Default I need some help on the electrical system of a 91 EZGO (gas)

Need some help on electric problem on my 244cc Robins.
This is a rather long post about a problem I am having with my 91 Ezgo not charging the battery. I tried to change the starter generator and that didn't work, I noticed I have the wrong volt regulator on so I ordered a new one and dug some more. I am adding a diagram of the electric system to try to help explain my ramblings. This is what I noticed on my cart vs the manual.
1: Wires from Solenoid B, 1 goes to the battery, 1 goes to the voltage regulator and 1 goes to the F-N-R micro switch
2: Wires from Solenoid D, 1 goes to the coil, 1 goes to ignition switch (there are 4 posts on the ignition and only 2 have wires coming off, both red)
3: Yellow/red wire on ignitor goes to coil wire not connected to the voltage regulator, the red wire from the voltage regulator is not hooked up to the ignitor.
4:Wire comes from ignition switch to accelerator micro switch, black side of same switch is connected to the F-N-R micro switch
Wire from Solenoid C goes to neg side of battery
Wire from solenoid A goes to starter (F2)
There is no fuse block in line (which frightens me) and I'm not sure of the correct solenoid lettering (the one I have has no markings on it I just traced all the wires and figured that was it. I am no stranger to ac power but don't have a lot of dc power experience. I guess my main question is should I rewire everything according to the manual or is it wired like this for a reason. I will for sure put the correct voltage regulator in when it arrives but any advise would be greatly appreciated.

When you get the correct V/R, i'd hook it up like the diagram shows. I'm not really sure what to make of the mess around the mircros and switch, maybe they were try to by-pass one of the micros.

Well problem solved, it looks the vr was for an older model cart and it was hooked up wrong, I rewired the whole cart from battery on and it cleaned it up nicely. Now the question is which starter generator do I sell, or do I keep it for a spare?
