G9 Keys universal?
So I bought my dad a gas g9 after he saw me working on my g2-e. Anyway, my 3yo son and I were cruising around this evening and stopped to talk to the neighbor.
In this 5 minute span he decided it was a good idea to grab the key and drop it in the pasture somewhere. Now I have no keys and I had to run a jumper wire in the ignition harness just to get it back to the shop. So are the keys universal? Can I just pick one up online and be done or do I have to change the whole ignition switch?  |

Yes, as far as I know all makes use a universal key. (Different between the makes)

my G1 key fits my brother in laws G9 so they are pretty interchangeable

G1, G2 and G9 shares the same key design. G14 is different.

I tried my g2 key but it didn't work. Confirms what I thought that someone changed the ignition on it.
