New G8 sound system
I made another addition to the cart, before it gets moved down to the camper next week. I found a great deal on a nice Kenwood deck and kenwood 6 1/2" speaker combo at autozone this week. $95.00. 200 watt deck with cd player and mini jack for plugging in a Ipod, or my phone, whatever. Not a bad deal at all! Then I added an amplified window antenna under the front cowl. Spent a little more than I wanted to on the stereo cover from crutchfield, but its a good one. Wiring this up was easy, and I like how it turned out. You hit the power button on the dash, and stereo comes on, at the same volume and station you had it on when you turned it off. So far, the battery is happy to supply the voltage for memory, without killing it. For those thinking of putting in a stereo, just my experience so far says, this is silly! As you need to turn the volume way up to hear it while the cart is going to overcome engine noise, but when you stop, its really loud!!! Oh well. If my buggies going wild, might as well do it up right!!

Can anyone suggest a good, quality, affordable cover for short roof+rear seat?

Re: New G8 sound system
Good deal on the radio! You'll have to slow down at the camp ground, and you'll hear the radio then!
Also, I am using a cover thats for a Ranger or something like that. It fits pretty good, I like it because it comes down low enough that it covers the the tires almost to the ground (shields them from the sun). Make sure you take a long 1/2" cable and lock, to secure it to your camper when your gone. I got a 30 footer from Harbor Freight, then got 2 locks just to make it a pain to try and steal it. Wrap the cable through all 4 wheels (make them spend a lot of time trying to get it). |

Re: New G8 sound system
Mine is also, but I don't want to spend all those hours building another one.
