Default G22 front alignment

OK, so I bought the G22 and worked from there. I have issues with the steering rack, but nothing that is insurmountable (I hope). I have installed a rear seat kit, Jakes heavy duty rear springs, Jakes 3" rear spacers, head light kit, Jake's long travel front suspension kit and 12 inch wheels with 22 inch tires. I'm in way too deep at this point, but it has been good for me and the boys to work on it together.

My question is how to set the front end alignment and toe-in. I can sorta look at it and get close, but the instructions tell me that I need to set it at .125-.25 inch toe in and I don't know how to set that with my home tools. Anyone got some suggestions?

I will eventually post pictures on my cart and the steps along the way, but I haven't gotten to downloading the pictures yet.

Thanks

Default Re: G22 front alignment

Here is how I did it.

Drive the car forward 15' wheels straight.

Then take a piece of 1x2 wood about 24" long. Hold one end against the bead on the rim. Measure from the end of the stick, to the bead of the other wheel, at axle height, in front of the wheel. Note measurement.

Do the same at the back of front wheel. But measurement at back needs to be set 1/8" longer than front. Loosen tie rods on rack, and screw each one evenly in or out, till 1/8" is acquired. 1/8" less in front than in back.

You may have to do this several times to get it just right.

Hope you can understand...cause I don't!
