Default G1 motor help!

Motor has a small puddle under motor on passenger side. Runs good but once you stop you have to choke it. Any ideas?

If that puddle is engine oil, which is likely, then it is time for crankshaft seals:

Although my bad crank seal was on the belt/clutch side and I just did the one, it's my understanding that either would give the same problem/symptoms. Since your oil spot is on the fan side that's probably the one that's gone bad.

The motor is real easy to pull, but while you've got it out you might want to just take care of both sides. It's only another $20 or so for the parts.

I sent you a pm with some links and stuff. If I can be of any assistance, let me know. It's all still fresh in my head since I literally just did mine this past weekend.

I don't think you'll get the clutch off without a puller.

I had to pull my motor because the cart is lifted and the clutch bolt is only an inch away from, and directly inline with the frame.

Honestly don't think I would've tried changing it in the cart even if I could get at it though. You can bung up the new seal if you're not careful when putting it back in. I had to do mine twice for that very reason. Put the new one in and although it cured my hard starting issue, it was squealing like a pig. Ended up buying a new seal and went at it again. Works great now though.
