Torque spring
I just sold the yamaha and bought a club car ds. Gaser. How much more power do you get with the torque spring. It will be used to pull a small cart and climbing some pretty steep hills on the farm.

Re: Torque spring
It's help you climb the hills. When I got the spring, I didn't notice any difference until I started climbing hills I couldn't climb before. The spring just adjusts the power band to give you more low end power for climbing, but it's definitely not a huge noticeable difference.

Re: Torque spring
I have a 91 club car that looses power going up hills. I haven't changed drive belt yet. The one on it looks ok but I am going to go ahead and replace it. My question, is the power spring worth putting on and how difficult is it to install. And is there any other things I can do to get more power up hills. Thanks

Re: Torque spring
As I said, it made a difference, so for me it was worth it. But I also had my driven clutch machined in addition to the spring. I can't speak for any effect from installing only the spring. And I didn't put it in myself, I sent the clutch to Tom at Cart Parts Plus, who did the machining and put the spring in while he had it apart.

Re: Torque spring
it makes the cart start by key and it comes with a spring for the clutch , it will idle .club cars are known for being jumpy lets say.this also makes it very smooth when you start to go

Re: Torque spring
Is it worth it or better to do the key start?
Why do it? Help me/us understand why? |
