The shaft is very durable, but not indestructible for sure.

Did you try 2 lid removers and working it from both sides (wiggling it)?

You can also apply CO2 to the shaft to shrink the diameter a little to help loosen it up. You can also take a brass hammer and tap on the shaft as you are prying it... (I HATE THOSE MAGNETS!)

Am going to grind it down until it fits and flip the fingers over. If it works I will post it up for sale once I'm done with it. Maybe it will get passed around here until every last one of these motors bite the dust....lol

Yeah when I was reading up on this upgrade I had no idea which motor I had. I told my wife after reading the how to that with my luck I have the GE motor..........sure enough

That's a good one! Need to add one to the tool box.
In my case I pulled the motor and pulled the bearing and it pulled the magnet.
If for some reason I want to go back to the stock magnet I would try it.
