It will be tomorrow before I can go check.
The wire from Solenoid positive activation white/black to Controller Terminal #1 should be red.

Also, pull the yellow wire from Controller Terminal #3 just enough to be able to place the meter probe there.

Set Your meter to DC volts and measure the voltage on Terminal #3 from Pedal Up to Pedal Down.

Keep one of the rear wheels OFF the ground for safety.

This should be Your wire diagram if the cart has the MultiStep Potentiometer (Pie shape box between batteries).

You are correct the wire is red going to J1 and is feed by blk/wht wire coming from m/s 1 on f/r switch.
This cart has mcor mounted on frame not pot.
A few miles to travel before I can troubleshoot cart, any other things to check besides J1?

Sorry Sergio it is a pot not a mcor mounted on the frame. I was looking at the wrong electrical diagram on my phone!
It has a variable pot though not step pot.
I don't have ability to print diagram down here.

I did not think they still had the CVP in 2002.... here is the diagram I have for the CVP model:
http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/attac..._96_ds_cvp.jpg
The voltage test on Terminal #3 (with the yellow wire still plugged to the controller, KSI ON and FNR in F), from Pedal UP to Down, will test the entire throttle circuit.

Please print the voltage range You get.

If You don't have any voltage readings, trace the circuit from the micro-switch in the FNR to the CVP and the CVP resistance.

Sergio I am in the same boat as Lakebit however I am dealing with a 98 with Potentiometer. So if yellow wire is removed from solenoid and jumper run from B- and solenoid pops does that mean OBC is shot?

Yes, the OBC provides the negative side of the solenoid activation through that yellow wire.

If it works when you run that side of the Solenoid directly to pack negative, the OBC "charger Lockout" circuit has failed.

If the entire OBC has failed (meaning it is not charging), then you should get a smart charger.

The OBC on some old models had a fuse on the red wire that powers the OBC, make sure that fuse is good.

Thumbs up Re: 2002 CC no solenoid closure

A big THANK YOU to Scottyb, jjance and Sergio for your help!!
My buddy was able to ride his cart to mail box today!

Sergio I pulled back the yellow wire on J3 and attached my meter mashed pedal to take voltage reading and cart ran.

I believe this coastal environment was to blame, cleaned connection and let him ride.

Thanks again guys

OK solenoid problem reoccurred several months ago and I am just getting around to helping my friend get his cart going.

I have pack v on blue wire from key switch to pot but only 12 v on green/white wire coming back to forward & reverse switch micro switch. Removed green/white wire and jumped pack v to switch relay closed and when I operated pedal with wheels off the ground, it ran.

Do I need to replace the potentiometer or can the micro be replaced on the pot? I have not pulled off of trailer to get under and remove at this point.

Thanks in advance for your help
