Default Steeleng Light kit

Has anybody installed a steeleng light kit on their club car precedent. Mine is a 2013 and the guy that installed it told me that it had a built in voltage reducer. Comments?

I never heard of a "built in" voltage converter, you need a 48v->12v converter or you will eventually damage your batteries.

Here is their light kit:

Do you mean the guy that installed it on your cart or an installer from the shop? If the latter, he probably meant that the cart had a built in voltage reducer.

I don't think the 2013 model had a standard voltage reducer (I have a 2012 model and it doesn't). Check with Dave at Revolution Golf Cars (one of the sponsors) on 706-836-7210. He has a number of voltage reducers (including http://www.revolutiongolfcars.com/_p...ecedent%2C-30a which fits the standard mounting holes). He'll also be able to give you all the advice you need about installation.
