I'm a fan of the Admiral A4 but it probably won't get you the top speed you are looking for. I believe flat it maxes around 28 to 30mph with 23" tires. For me that's fast enough but the big advantage is the torque. It'll help a lot in my hilly neighborhood and any other time I may need it.

The FSIP A3 or PQ Executioner. You can also call up PQ and talk to their tech group.
The Admiral A4 is a big motor and I know they have field maps to make it run really fast, check into that too! |

How would you keep (any) motor from exploding at the rpm's required to hit 35 mph (with standard gearing in the transaxle)?
I would have thought he would need to install (at least) 8:1 gears with a big motor to avoid creating a grenade at 35 mph! |
