Re: rear end noise
If it's a brand new motor, it needs go through the break-in period. The brushes don't seat 100% onto the armature until it's broken in.

Re: rear end noise
Is the sound the couple of spots of chattering or are you talking about the overall whine?
I think overall whine is ok and may reduce as time goes on. The chattering could be brakes or motor brushes experiencing a heavier load demand and not fully broke in. I am not an expert. |

Re: rear end noise
Yes, and did not hear the noise.
Any good place to buy used parts? |

Re: rear end noise
I don't think we have pinpointed the problem yet or have we?
And I forget, did you say it was there before the motor change or only after? If after, then certainly take it for a few long rides and see if it is the brushes and if so, it will get quieter as you go on. |

Re: rear end noise
The cart was not working before the motor. This is a restore project. If I had to replace the rear end what are my options? Where could I find one? Any insight would be great.

Re: rear end noise
With someone siting on the back seat, (the heavier the better) check the nuts on the top and bottom of your shocks. They may appear to be tight until weight is applied to rear end, but when the weight collapses the rubber grommets there is freeplay that will let the shock bolts rattle like the *** end is falling out.
This is a long shot but I found this to be my problem on my CC Precedent. |

Re: rear end noise
No rear shocks. Heavy duty leaf springs only.
