Default only 40V to charger port...

So I'm still trying to figure out why I cant get my 2002 club car DS to charge, I was checking voltage last night and I have 48V across the battery pack, but when checking voltage at the charger port on the cart I'm only getting 40V. And I'm assuming this isn't enough to tell the charger to charge.
Does this sound right? any clue why this would be happening? the power wire from the battery pack to charging port seems to be in good shape.

That would be about right if You have an OBC.

In a previous post You mentioned You had a DPI charger, which model DPI do You have?

If You have the "ACCUSENSE" model that works without the OBC, You need to run the negative wire from the charger receptacle directly to pack negative.

That model is just a power supply like the original "charger" and it needs the OBC to work.

If the charger relay is not "clicking", test the fuse on the yellow holder to see if it is blown.

Charger relay is clicking, all the fuses I've found are good.

Since the charger relay is "clicking", is the amp meter not showing current flowing to the batteries?

If that is the case and since you already measured the voltage on the receptacle which proves the fuse on the back of the receptacle is good, the issue is the OBC itself.

You can try resetting the OBC by disconnecting the pack negative cable for more than 10 minutes.

the charger comes on for about 30 seconds, shows 15v. then is shuts off for 15-20 sec, comes back on for about 30 sec at 15v, then shuts off and wont come back on.
after doing a bunch of reading I think my charger port might have a bad connection so I'm going to check that tonight. I'll also reset the obc while I'm there.
Thanks!

After you disconnect the battery negative, spray WD40 on the charger plug and insert it several times into the receptacle to clean the inside of the sockets.

Just a reminder the negative pack cable should be the only cable connected to the battery (no other wires) and that cable must run through the OBC.

Cleaned the charging port, double checked all the wires/connections, and still cant get the cart to charge. I guess I'm gonna take it to a shop somewhere because I'm stumped.
