Re: 2004 Club Car Precedent - Recs and Advice for a Newb
That is not much, and check with scottyb, that may be the standard deviation or it may have an adjustment you can do. Of course, make sure your DVM is accurate, too.
If that is ~12 hours or so after charging, then that is not bad at all for 5 year old batteries! If you have not done an equalization charge in a while, this is a good time to do it. Just unplug the charge cord at the cart, wait an half minute and plug it back in. |

I'm going to fiddle a bit more today and check some numbers. I've never done the equalization charge. I'll give that a try as well. |

I've got the equalization charge going now. I can hear the batteries gargling
Headed to Lowes soon to pick up some extra wire. Everything in the dash should be 18 gauge right? |

If I had only read the bottom of the paperwork that came with the meter; "You may see 0.5v lower voltage reading at the key switch than the battery pack"

Might be some 16 in there too, but you will see if there are any different ones. Remember, where there is doubt, bigger is actually better (safer) for wiring.... So if you see something inbetween, go with the bigger gauge in case it was an add-on.

Good call. Lowes didn't have any 18AWG so I bought some 16 and I've got the meter wired to the switch now. I think I'll get a beer and ride a little bit now and think about my next move.

Re: 2004 Club Car Precedent - Recs and Advice for a Newb
While having the beer and riding around, it became obvious the front suspension issue must be fixed before I head to the beach for a week at the end of June. The knocking noise is getting worse and the tires were making an odd noise while even going straight. I just ordered the bushing kit from RevolutionGolfCars. Hopefully that will resolve, but it's at least a start.
I think I can finally post pictures which should show the front tires both pointing outward. |
