Can anyone give me the low-down on Delta Q chargers?
Had my first experience the other day with a 14 precedent that wouldn't charge when I plugged in the PowerDrive 3 chargers that I use for most of our carts. (have a couple OLD PD units as well).
Asked the owner what kind of charger she had, and asked her to bring it to me. Its an entirely newfangled device called a Delta Q! So now I'm trying to figure out what the deal is with these new chargers? I have a couple of 2013 carts that still use the PD3 charger. But do all Club Car electric carts newer than 2013 use the Delta Q? Is it possible to use the Delta Q on carts older than 2014? Are they as tough as the PD chargers? Will they stand up to being out in the rain, getting tossed around, possibly dropped on occasion? Are there any replaceable parts in them? (relay, circuit breaker, etc.) |

Re: Can anyone give me the low-down on Delta Q chargers?
New charging system is called ERIC. The OBC is gone at long last. Newer ERIC chargers cannot interchange with older OBC chargers. The charger is likely not serviceable (like the delta q unit for Ezgo). Not as tough as the older "transformer chargers".
