Default Battery and charger

I have had issues with batteries lately , basically let them get drained, had to charge individually until enough power to turn on main charger. So it's been running almost 24 hrs and only shows to be half way charged , I can hear batteries boiling and all have over 8 volts now , is this normal ? Or is charger not turning off ?

You did not give any information about the cart or charger. Is it a Powerdrive charger and an OBC cart?

If so, it should have shut down after 16 hours due to timing out.

Check voltage on each Battery to see if they are ALL equal...if not equal then you may have one bad battery...

2004 iq 48 volt cart
Not sure of charger but is an automatic that usually shuts off on it's own

Checked all batteries they all have between 8 to 9 volts
Batteries were completely dead 7 of 8 had less than 3 volts and some had less than 1

You have 8 six volt batteries?

That should be a Powerdrive charger and "IF" the OBC is working as it should, then after 16 hours it should have timed out and shut off.
