2003club car solenoid issue
My buddy bought a 2003 club car pathway. He was told it needed batteries. He put them in and nothing. When you push the accelerator the box on the frame rail( according to the local parts place is called an mcor). But nothing from the solenoid. They tested it and said the solenoid was shot. We installed a new one still have no movement. Lights and everything come on but it will not move at all. When testing for power at the solenoid as soon as they key is on we have 48v on both sides of the solenoid and on both small terminals. I'm not sure what could cause this. Does anybody have any ideas.

Re: 2003club car solenoid issue
Those voltage readings are normal. One side of the solenoid needs to go low before it pulls in. Put your meter leads between the two small posts on the Solenoid and see if you got 48v and the solenoid clicks when you push the throttle. If not the best thing to replace next is the MCOR.

Re: 2003club car solenoid issue
The solenoid does not click when you push the throttle. I will check to see if I have 48v between th posts. I've done a bunch of reading and it appears there were several people with the same issue and it needed a speed controller.

Re: 2003club car solenoid issue
So I found information about testing the mcor and I did the test. Micro switch is working perfectly. The throttle signal went from 7.02 to 1.12 zero to full throttle. Seems like that is within range and should be good. Makes me lean towards a speed control.
