Battery Charger Bounce

Club Car 2004DX. 48V.
Power-Drive 2 charger.

Problem:
Charger bounces from 0-5 amperes when plugged in. I know I have one battery that is bad 3.01V. Could this be the problem? Cart has been sitting for a few months on the charger.

Trojan 875
Battery current charge-off charger for 2 days.
#1-8.17v. mfg.8/2010 Gravity 1.215/1.225/1.215/1.215

After I replaced the solenoid and 2 batteries, cart was fine for about a week and then no go again. I am guessing the problems are bad batteries. It has been sitting on charge for months and I finally have some time and money to get it back on its feet. Just want to make sure my charger is not the problem before I go replacing batteries that may still have some life left.

Your battery is a major problem. I’d replace them all.

Yes, as Luke stated, the battery is the biggest contributor there. Your OBC does not know one is bad and it is struggling with the charge because it is looking at "Pack" voltage....

If anything is wrong with the PD2 it is only going to be the rectifier.... ($20)
