Default 53V normal after charging?

2003 Club Car DS IQ

After charging I checked the voltage on my batteries and it was reading 53.4. The state of charge charts I see only go up to 51 I think.

Is this bad? Is it overcharging?

Everything seems to run fine otherwise and I'm using the factory charger.

Thanks in advance.

That’s normal immediately after unplugging it. Let it sit for 12 hours and it will go down slightly.

Good to know. Yep, I literally pulled it off right after charging...

My new battery pack settles down to 51.8 volts at 12 hours after charging.

I should probably create a new thread, but is anyone using a surge protector with their charger? Will any old surge protector or is there a specific one I need?

Would something basic like this work... Supposedly 2100 joules

Quit worrying about that cart and call me I'm picking up some 2015 Precedents tomorrow. One can have your name on it.

Black body, black top, black seats.

Not on the old transformer chargers. They're tough as a brick and most parts are replaceable if you happen to have a random surge or even a lightning strike.

With the new electronic chargers like the ERIC or some of the aftermarket programmable ones, might be a good idea since almost nothing in those is serviceable.

Haha, yeah i'd love to pick one up. I'll definitely get with you when I get mine sold. Although now I'm conflicted because it's running really good since the new MCOR
