Default Windshield Grommet 2005 Precedent

I'm having a devil of a time finding this part. It is a grommet that holds the lower part of the windshield on a 2005 Precedent. Part #102947601.

The problem is that I need the one with the brass threaded ferrule inside of it (see picture below), because the bolt does not go all the way through the roof pillar. There is only a hole on one side of the pillar and this fits into it. Most of the other windshields that I have looked at have the bolt going all the way through the pillar, but not mine.

When I look up that part number I just find ones with no threads. The picture below is from a Dutch website that does not ship to the US!

I ordered that part from an American golf cart website that had no picture, hoping that it would be the threaded one, but it was not. (and they charged $14 shipping for a $2 part - won't be buying anything from them again!).

Please help me find this part. It will be getting cold soon and I would like my windshield back on :)

Thanks for the referral, guys. I have responded to him via email. The threaded grommets have been discontinued. Recommended procedure per Club Car is to drill a hole all the way through the strut, use the new non threaded grommets with longer bolts.

Oh, Dave is TahoeDawg! I've seen you on here forever but didn't make the connection.

Yes, thank you for the quick reply. Although I was very disappointed to hear that the part is obsolete.

The reason I need it is frustrating. I loaned the cart out to a relative and they promptly lost this grommet somehow. Alcohol may have been involved. It makes me angry that I would have to modify my cart, even a little, because this moron broke it. Like they say - no good deed goes unpunished.

If anyone knows where I could still find this obsolete part I would be eternally grateful!

p.s. - or even where I could order a threaded ferrule to fit in the plain grommet. The threads are 6mmx1mm, I measured them from the remaining one on the other side.

I just went out to the garage at the house and dug through an old random box of bolts from the old Club Car dealership days. I found 36 of them, but all of them are the new style. Hopefully someone else may come up with something.

Many thanks, Danny & Dave, for looking. I appreciate it.

It just goes along with my luck to lose the only part that cannot be replaced. Story of my life.
