Its a direct replacement for the stock one I honestly don't know what the amperage is.

So you’ll definitely need a solenoid with your controller upgrade. Also 4G or 2G cables is very important. Get it all from Scotty.

That is a small solenoid. Even with an XCT48300-IQ I would still get at least a 200amp. With a XCT500, you would want a 400amp solenoid. Look at these https://www.revolutiongolfcars.com/c...-club-car-prec for the options and possibilities.

That is rock solid advice. Whenever I do a build, that is the rule of thumb that I apply. I just installed a 500 amp alltrax on a stock motor with a 400 amp solenoid, while I am waiting for the clients Plum Quick Executioner to arrive, and it runs 26 mph already, and it's a 6 seater...

Have it mapped for your motor.

Is that something I should've requested when I bought it or can I do it myself once I install It by just using the software?

Way overbuilt. Turn the controller output down to 400 specs so you can use it safely with the stock motor.
PS the stock solenoid works well (recommended by alltrax) for the XCT300 (350 peak) controller. The 300 amp controller gives a significant boost in power and acceleration and any who has tried it knows that... with an FSIP speed motor gives 27-32 mph depending upon rpm setting and tire size.... again, the recommendations here are beyond what is needed.

That’s what I hinted at...

The whole bigger is better thing is not always true. Today's 500 Alltrax has higher peaks and sustained out that is equal to the older 600 amp controllers.
If it's not needed - your paying for something you won't use.

That should be understood by people wanting to give advice.
