New Tie Rod Ends - How Long to Loosen Up?
I've been enjoying this Forum, especially the Club Car section! This is my first post on this forum...
I'm working on a 2003 DS IQ 48volt. I just installed new tie rod ends and find that the tie rod movement is pretty stiff and doesn't go lock to lock - yet. Also, I found that the nuts go way beyond the cotter key holes, so they won't really be effective until a nut becomes loose and winds itself way down the screw end. See image... I haven't driven the cart yet, so there's been no breaking it in yet. Are these both normal and I just need to break it in? Or did I screw something up? Thanks...Bill |

That does not look like an OEM end. Those are very long threads. Should have looked like this https://www.revolutiongolfcars.com/p...ub-car-ds-7540
And something is binding if it is not turning lock to lock. It should not do that.... |

I do have a question how do you tell they are bad? Is it like a cars ball joint?
Hope you don’t mind me asking a question Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

How to tell they're bad? You'll see wobble when you give the wheel a twist.
I spent a little more time and found the parts to be unfit for use and returned them. Ordered from a different supplier. We'll see Thanks for your thoughts. |
