Leaf & Volt pack chargers n charging times
I’m running 2 packs on my CC & I use a 8amp charger as of right now. What are some different chargers out there that have more amps? What kind of charging times is everyone having

If charging 2 packs, or over 100 amp hour pack, you should be safe going with a 3500 watt charger.
If your current one is 8 amp output, that is about 500 Watts. I would imagine it takes about 12 hours to recharge your pack at that rate. Most Lithium batteries can safely be charged at 1C, but you extend their life if charged at 1/3C. Any CC/CV charger can be used if the target voltage is set according to your pack’s maximum voltage. It starts at a constant current, increasing voltage until target voltage is achieved then switches to constant voltage decreasing current until it approaches 0 amps. |
