Default 2015 Precedent, tail lights on ever so dim, but switch is OFF

I was messing with my Precedent today, putting it away for the upcoming snow we're to get. Parked it back where its very dark and noticed the back lights are on ever so slight, as in very very dim. These look to be led lights.

My batteries had got pretty low and I had to give it a charge to get it to move. I was surprised it was that low an suspect now that this dim rear lights drew on the batteries. The only thing I've done to this card electrically was to add some led accent lighting, hooked into the headlight switch.

Can anyone here grasp what's going on here? Tks

Do they stay on even if you pull one of the wires off the switch?

Where are your accent lights grounded?
Unhook your accent LEDs and see if the tail lights go out.

So today I opened up the dash panel and totally unhooked the led accent light altogether and the dim lights continue on the back lights. Moved the toggle run switch just to check. Made no difference.

Ok, does your kit have brake lights?
If no brake lights, do the tail lights have a 3rd wire for brake lights?
Somewhere here I saw a thread about a backfeed issue through the brake lights. It was fixed by installing a Diode somewhere but I can’t recall exactly where.

Can’t find nothing doing a search. Maybe someone here will also recall the thread.

Do You have a voltage reducer (48v->12v) or are you tapping individual batteries for 12v?

If You are tapping individual batteries (bad idea), the accessories negative has to be the pack negative.

You cannot tap any other part of the pack for negative as the harness has common connections.
