Re: 2 speed rear end?
Alright guys soon as I get it back from cart repair guy. I burnt up original controller. and am getting it changed to series. with 700 alltrax controller. and beast motor. will give some vids then. sorry I didnt have them with original stuff. I had a program ( speed code 5 ) and it was a little hot and burnt the controller. But before program. it worked fine. with stock stuff. and 2 speed rear end.

Re: 2 speed rear end?
New setup should be awsome. I also added 25" tires and 12" rims. so high spoeed should be sweet, and will mostly be driving in low gear with awsome torque.

Re: 2 speed rear end?
Ok new info on the two speed rear end.
Just got my cart back from the cart guy. he changed my cart to series, and installed 700 amp controller. 2 gauge wires 400 amp solenoid. and beast motor ( torque motor ) In high gear it goes 27 mph and in low gear it will pull the front tires off the ground for a wheelie. This is with 23" tires. I pan to put 25" tires on this weekend and we will see what that does. |

Re: 2 speed rear end?
Patience unclejerm, havent had time. just got 25" tires on it today, it is a little faster top end but not what I expected. I have a pretty level road that is 1/2 mile at one spot I got up to 28.9 mph but mostly only gained 1 mph with the change from 23 to 25"
But in low gear I reached 20 mph, and it will still pull the front wheels off the ground from a dead start. drove wide open 1 mile in high and 1 mile in low, motor was a little warm not much. and controller and wires were cold. Yes it cost a bit of money but right now with the river flooded and the gulf getting too much fresh water in it. my boating this summer has been very little and the golf cart has been an everyday event. Hobbies.. whew.... will post pics, and vids soon so maybe someone else can learn as I did. thanks for everyone s help in my questions and also in comments in others cause I have been reading everything possible to learn this new hobby. |
