Re: Grounding to frame.
ok now we are getting somewhere.
That is from E-Z-GO's industrial lineup.... actually made by Cushman now (which is a sub company to E-Z-GO) The 80" wheelbase is throwing me, but that's ok.... at one point in time there would have been an identification plate mounted under the driver's left leg, sounds like yours is missing. Many people back in the days this cart was made used to run a chassis ground from the battery pack. We have learned over time that this is dangerous and no longer do it. Some of those carts (the earliest ones) ran a 10 spline motor (such as Club Car uses) others run the 19 spline. The controller is based on the 0-5k pot throttle input and the cart has all the electrical charastics of a controller based Marathon (with some differences in wiring based on the longer frame/body of course) |

Yes this is a very long cart! the total length of it is 11' 9" long! I see the rivets of where the ID plate used to be. If it was made of aluminum, It corroded away, as a guess. I would see no reason to remove it. The chassis ground issue has been resolved! It is no longer grounded to the battery pack! |
