Default yamaha g1 rebuild top end

only have 92 compression on my 1980 Yamaha was told not enough so here I go what will I need to do the job were to buy parts . what tool will I need . need help

If you go larger on the piston then you will need a matching cylinder. I would stay stock.

thanks will stay stock any brand of head kit ok look like it about 225.00 for kit

A re their any tools needed to do the top end .and should I be looking at anything else while iam in it beside the seals

Basic tools will get the top end done. If you are doing seals then you will need a clutch puller bolt and a puller to yank the flywheel.

pulled cylinder .wall look good piston ok should i just change the rings or buy the top end kit

Do you plan on keeping the cart for a long time? Any other plans for it? If so do the whole top end. If your looking for a quick out then it sounds like you should just re ring it.
