Default Re: 2001 workhorse starting circuit troubleshooting

I went out and ran a wire from the circuit box to the red in wire on the microswitch on the accelerator, bypassing the existing. That worked. So I patched the new wire into it and it is running fine.

The odd thing is that the outside coating on the plastic tube protection for the wire looks intact the whole way, so it is an odd short. But there is no doubt that is what was wrong.

Wonder if that was what was killing the battery last year. It was not killing the battery this year, and it is odd that it was not draining more power, but maybe it was coming and going.

THANKS SO MUCH! COULD NOT HAVE DONE IT WITHOUT YOU.

To close this out a year later, I ran a new wire and it was fine after that. It was grounding out. Thanks!
