You need to jet it I think, and that has to be done under load. So take off full throttle and if it runs better with the choke on a little then its lean. Make the main jet larger and try again. Also look at the plug after you take a run lean it will be very light. Look at the insulator in there. Sometimes new plug will not show a lot though.

When I made the idle jet larger my backfire when slowing went away, also starts with no choke and starts fast warm. Make sure your exhaust is not leaking also.

Thanks for all your help! Sho im going to jet it just a little more. Plus i found my exhaust is leaking slightly. I need a new gasket so do you think i should get the gasket first? Before jetting it?
