Default 2006 ST slow start

My 2006 ST Clays cart with 6 hours on it runs great but when you stop like at a stop sign it is slow to restart, it will crank for up to 20 seconds before it restarts. Then it will run fine till I stop again. When it is cold it starts fine no choke needed. Any ideas?

Thanks
Mike

The float bowl should hold enough fuel to start right up. it sounds like it isn't holding it, or the pump is losing it's prime, or the fuel is being sucked out.

Try running it without the gas cap to see if the tank is pulling a vacuum. I would also try adjusting the valves to .004.

You could also check to see if there is gas in your oil that could be getting in through a bad pump.

Thanks for the ideas I will check the next time I go to the camper. I replaced the fuel lines and pulse line thinking there might be a vacuum leak.

Thanks
Mike

Mine used to do that before I rebuilt it. Adjusting the valves usually got it back to normal, until it finally broke a con rod and I rebuilt it. Hasn't done it since.
