help with headlights please
I have a headlight bulb out. Though it looks in tact. I do have power to right before the bulb. It went out the first time and I tested with the test light and it sparked as I touched it and came on. So I reassembled everything.
Now its out and wont come back on. It looks as though the bulb is pushed in place and soldered to the harness. (no bulb replacement without getting new bulb hooked to a pigtail. Or am I missing something? I didn't actually pull on the bulb to see though. I like these lights, as they are brighter than my wifes car. But, it they are trouble, I would like to change to LEDs or something if yall have recommendations.... 27.jpg 26.jpg |

Re: help with headlights please
hey,
those light bulbs are removable, they appear to be factory lights for the yamaha "drive". there is a little screw holding it in. |

Re: help with headlights please
Yep, but it still in the "holder"
And the backside looks soldered. It is an add on kit from the guy I got the cart from Like I said, I didn't actually pull the bulb from the bracket after I pulled the screw. But it looked funky to me and I just put it back together. Maybe I should remove and pull on the bulb |

Re: help with headlights please
Blue arrow in last pic shows what looks like a prong coming through from the bulb. Then the wire seems soldered to it?

lol your right, instead of replacing the bulb someone just soldered the wire back on.

Re: help with headlights please
hey,
i may have been confused, but if you mean holder as in the silver thing the bulb is inserted in, its supposed to be that way. when you buy a new bulb it comes in that silver holder with the wire sticking out. i would not try to pull the bulb from the silver holder anyway |
