clutch rebuild PARTS
Haven't torn mine down yet --let TO DO list get out of hand. Replaced belt and still have very loud noise. You have to almost yell to talk. Gone thru every post about engine noises--IE: seal pushed into crank etc. Most posts say you can't rebuild either clutch--BUT- I found one that states you can buy some parts (thought I marked it but can't find now) All I remember is the total was around $80.00 for the parts.
What I need to know is can you tear down the clutches (both driven and drive) and How to do it. Or can I just inspect them and visually see if they are worth working on. Next--- where is the MOST likely place to find the noise-- clutches or engine. it's sounds like a scraping noise rather than a ringing . I thought it might be in the starter/generator but it makes no noise while starting. If the crank bearing is gone will it make a scraping sound. Bought complete rebuild kit with crank for the 2 cycle robin 244-- Will do this first but would like to eliminate it all in one teardown. |

Re: clutch rebuild PARTS
There are some good videos on youtube I watched addressing the tear down and rebuild.
