Default 1998 CC DS 48 volt real slow in reverse

my wife's cart runs fine in forward but barely moves in reverse
batteries are all good new 4 gauge cables, stock controller,new plum quick bandit motor
don't remember it doing it before new bandit motor rechecked the cables to motor they are hooked up right

Cart runs okay in forward & I believe the 48v 1998 uses a resistor to reduce the signal in reverse. You can take the 2 small wires off of the F&R micro switch closest to the rear of the cart and slip them together covered in tape... if that fixes the reverse problem you may want to find a more permanent or correct solution such as restoring the original function.

There are three wires on that micro-switch #3, You want to jump the Green and the White wires together.

Another quick way to verify the motor is wired correctly to the FNR:
Put the FNR in Neutral and measure for continuity between the 2 cables connected to the swivel posts.
You should have continuity if they are properly wired to the Motor field coil (S1 and S2).
