Default Volt meter going super nova

Last weekend my voltage meter started going bonkers. When I first unplugged the cart from the charger and turned on the key to back it out of the garage, it started at like 8 volts (like it always does and creeps up usually to 50.6 when first unplugged) and quickly kept rising to 60 volts, 70 volts 86 volts, and then went blank. Cart drives fine. After a few minutes of driving, with the pedal down it reads normal (approx. 47.8v on a full charge at full speed). When I came to a stop it was reading normal at 50.X volts. So I went to the store and when I came back out and turned the key back on, same thing. I didn't charge it that night to see if I drained the pack a little if it would stop. No dice, every day after work this week same thing. Is the volt meter crapping out on me? It's only a couple weeks old, but I guess I could have gotten a bad one.

On a side note, after driving about a mile or two on the street at full speed, how long does it typically take the voltage to level back out when coming to a stop? Usually when I'm cruising it's about 47.X or 48.X. Say I cruise 1/4 mile on a full charge, when I come to a stop it goes to 49 and takes a minute or so for the voltage to go back to 50.X. Is that normal? All of the batteries have perfect water levels.

Thanks!!

I'll take a video of it after work. I bought it from Carts Unlimited.

How is the meter connected, did You re-use any of the existing harness wires?
