2001 DS hard shifting
My wife uses our cart mainly for hauling her garden produce. The other day she complained that the shifter is difficult to move from forward to reverse and back. I tried it and she was right. It takes some real force to move it. Any ideas what could cause that? I'm going to change the oil tonight, and check the transaxle fluid. It's going ot get some recreational riding in this coming weekend for my son's birthday, so the annual maintenance is in order. I'll do some other looking to see if I can spot the problem, but let me know if you have seen this before, and how you fixed it. Thanks!

On my cart, the motor isn't running when it's stopped (while shifting). It's a stock motor configuration.

Probably the shift cable is worn. Best to replace it.
Pop the cable ends off at the shift handle and at the lever on the transmission and make sure the handle and lever move easily. |
