Default Gen belt broke and stuck in driven clutch

Need some assistance here. Was out with my 93 DS and heard some rattling noise then cart stopped. I thought maybe a wheel had come loose but pulled the engine cover off and saw my generator belt had broken. My dog and I walked back home and got the Mrs. to help tow the cart back home. I thought it would be an easy fix, just get another gen belt and head out. Well I got the drive belt off and discovered the gen belt is wrapped up in the driven clutch and I can''t pull it out. It is stuck between the pulley discs. Do I have to take the driven clutch apart to pull the broken belt out or is there another easier way? Any help will be appreciated by me and also my dog!!

it's sucked down between the pulley, was hoping to be able to spread it but doesn't seem to move. I can cut what is sticking out, but don't think I can reach deep in to get the rest.

Cut it then pull it out with pliers, unwind it.

Not moving at all, even removed the rear body for better access, have to remove the clutch?

Got it out, was able to pry the clutch apart with a pry bar to finally pull it. It was wrapped in there pretty good....

Same thing (belt let loose) happened to me a few weeks ago. But luckily enough my shredded belt never made it into the clutch mechanism. I had the "easy fix" you were expecting on yours...

Yes for sure, figured throw a new belt on and take off. Not on your life, spent all morning yesterday to get back on the road. Never assume anything as you know what the word assume means. Makes an as* out of you and me...lol
