G16 Rear end oil change
I have a 2000 G16 that has a rear end leak. I was going to change out the oil and replace the gasket.
Haven't ventured to this end of the cart before. Is this a fairly easy job to do? And is there anything I need to be looking for or checking on while I am in the area? Not having any issues just doing some maintenance. I thought I would just remove the rear differential cover and let the oil drain out. New gasket, cover back on and fill. Is there a filler hole somewhere for the oil to be put in? I do see a rubber plug in the cover. I assume this is a sight line fill level. Would I just use 90W gear oil like? Any other tips? |

Re: G16 Rear end oil change
Pull the cover to drain the fluid, and use blue or black RTV sealant when you install the cover. There's no gasket. 75-90w is good. I use synthetic. Fill thru the hole in the cover until it overflows.

Fill through the hole until 415cc has been added.
